INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED

  1. No credit card numbers or bank account numbers are saved on our servers. Your payment is managed by Stripe servers.
  2. We normally save your name, username, email, encrypted password, ip, address, city, region/state/province, country and phone number to be able to verify your identity and communicate with you in regards to your purchases and account management or technical support.
  3. Cookies and Usage Data

USAGE DATA

We may also collect information how the Service is accessed and used (“Usage Data”). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

TRACKING & COOKIES DATA

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Camera Star Consent

To support the needs of “Camera Star-YouTube Version” course, students will be engaged in a series of sessions that entail social media involvement. Parents/guardians are required to monitor, supervise and facilitate this process throughout the course in regard to video recordings and uploading assignments onto the class channel on YouTube. With the assistance and supervision of the instructor, parents/guardians’ ongoing support is essential.
Due to the sensitive nature of this course, all students must have parent/guardian’s consent submitted to Olive Seed prior to attending the course.

“Camera Star – YouTube Version” Consent
As a parent/guardian, I:
• Understand the risks and challenges that may occur by involving my child into a social media platform and will provide parental supervision and guidance.
• Acknowledge the necessity of the content in “Camera Star-YouTube Version” Course and give full permission for my child’s involvement.
• Understand the necessity of my assistance in the tasks assigned (technical and observational).

Media Waiver

Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation Consent:

As valued customer, Olive Seed requests your consent to allow us to send you important information and announcements from our academy. Your consent is required to comply with the new Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Media Release

I hereby agree and give my permission for Olive Seed and/or partners and representatives to record, film, photograph, audiotape or videotape my or my child’s name, image, work, and performance (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Works”) and to display, publish or distribute these Works for the purpose of publishing, posting on Olive Seed website, posting on social media sites and/or for broadcasting on television or radio as determined by Olive Seed. I hereby waive any right to approve the use of these Works now or in the future, whether the use is known to me or unknown, and I waive any right to any royalties related to the use of these Works.
I understand that the Works may appear in electronic form on the internet or in other publications outside of Olive Seed’s control. I agree that I will not hold the Olive Seed responsible for any harm that may arise from such unauthorized reproduction. I have read this Media Release Consent Form and I fully understand the contents and meaning of this release. I understand that I am free to contact Olive Seed with any questions regarding this release.

Health and Safety Waiver

I grant the staff members and employees of Olive Seed to act in loco parents (in lieu of the parent or guardian) during their programs. I agree that the staff member or employee of Olive Seed can administer basic medications or drugs in either prescription form or otherwise to my child, take him/her to a medical practitioner for medical treatment and approve medical procedures in the case of an emergency, which is to be determined solely by the staff member or employee of Olive Seed. I agree to pay for all such medical expenses.
I take full responsibility to inform Olive Seed in writing regarding participant's medical history, including all drug and food allergies, pre-existing illnesses, physical, behavioural, emotional concerns.
Olive Seed has the full right to reject my child(s) from any course or activity if they cannot accommodate my child(s) special need or medical condition.
I acknowledge that I have fully read, understood and unconditionally agree to all the provisions outlined above.

Policies and Procedures

WITHDRAWALS

The following withdrawal policies apply to all Courses, Camps and activities of Olive Seed. For a full refund, withdrawals from programs must be made at least TWO WEEKS prior to the start date for Camps and one day activities, and ONE WEEK prior to the start date for Courses.
• For Camps and one day activities, NO refunds will be processed for withdrawals made less than two weeks prior to the start date.
• For Courses, withdrawals made less than one weeks prior to the start date or after the first class will receive 50% of the course fee. NO refunds will be processed after the 2nd class.

PROGRAM CANCELLATION & DE-REGISTRATION

All Courses and Camps are subject to sufficient registration. Olive Seed reserves the right to cancel or combine individual Courses or Camps if minimum registration is not achieved. A full refund will be issued in the event of a cancellation.
Olive Seed aims to provide a safe, positive, and welcoming learning environment. Olive Seed reserves the right to refuse admittance to or de-register any person who prevents our ability to provide such an environment. In the event of de-registration, a refund will be issued for all unattended days.

TRANSFERS

If space is available, participants may transfer from one Community Course or Camp to another that is of equal or greater value; as long as the transfer is done one week before the start date.

SIBLING DISCOUNT

Families who enroll more than one child (residing at the same household) will receive 10-15% discount on each additional child.

INSTALLMENT PAYMENT PLAN

Subject to Olive Seed approval, participants may choose to opt-in for two to three equal payments installment plan. The first payment is due upon registration. timing and number of payments thereafter will be decided and published on an intake basis. Payment plan has to go through the service provider hired by Olive Seed using a credit card. Due to the administrative cost, there will be a minimum amount for the installment option to be used. Any fees related to the transaction may be passed to the participant.
Olive Seed and their service provider has the right to reject any installment plan participant.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Participants must meet the age requirements of the program as listed. Participants must meet the minimum age requirement for a program on or before December 31st of the current calendar year. An exception is made for 5-6 year old campers, as they must be the minimum age on or before the program start date.

MISSED CLASSES

In the event that a patron is unable to attend a class, Olive Seed regrets that a makeup class or refund will not be offered.

WAIT LIST

In the event that the Course/Camp you have selected is full, you can be placed on a wait list –where applicable–. Individuals on the wait list will only be notified if space becomes available.

WAIVERS

All Course participants must submit a Health & Safety Waiver and a Media Release prior to the first class, camp or event. Where participants are under legal age, parents/guardians have to sign the waivers for their child(s).
Participants without valid signed waivers will not be allowed in to any course, camp or activity.

SPECIAL NEEDS

All details of special needs must be disclosed at the time of registration to establish program fit.
Although Olive Seed would love to accommodate all special needs and will strive to do so, we reserve the right to reject the registration of any participant, if we cannot provide a safe educational environment fro them.
